As the mother of a collegiate swimmer, I watched my daughter train from age 10 to a grad assistant in college. She worked hard seven days a week, sometimes 7000 yards a day. I am so sorry to see what’s going on with transgender women in swimming!
It’s ridiculous — anyone that doesn’t recognize the physiological differences between men and women is ignorant. I am grateful that my daughter has finished her career in swimming. My heart goes out to the parents who have to watch their girls struggle to make it to the top, and have her deserved accolades snatched by a transgender [athlete] who doesn’t belong on a women’s swim team.
