I was born in 1954, and am pre-Title IX. There were no organized sports for girls where I grew up. I wanted to participate, and felt cheated, as cheerleading and baton twirling were not activities I was good at. I wanted to run, play basketball, soccer, football. Girls just did not play sports where I lived. In the past, some countries tried to gain an advantage by giving their female athletes testosterone, and they were banned. Biological men should never compete against biological women. Because of women pioneers, I have been blessed to run ten Boston Marathons, and play rugby on a women’s club team in college – we had no school support. How can anyone be for women’s rights and allow this to happen.
